I, Flora Saxby, am a qualified and accredited psychotherapist, providing psychotherapy, trauma therapy, and supervision face to face and online. This privacy policy will explain my contract information and how I use personal data collected from you when you use my services.
Contract information for Clients -
Please can you give me 2 full working days notice of a change of time or if you cannot attend (for a Monday session please let me know by the previous Thursday 09.00, and for a Tuesday session please let me know by the previous Friday 09.00). If it is any less notice than this, then please will you pay for the session. Thank you.
The first appointment, although a normal appointment payment-wise, is always on the basis that you are completely at liberty to decide whether or not I am the right person for you to work with as it is very important that you feel comfortable working with me.
In accordance with GDPR and under the Ethical Framework of the BACP, I am very careful to keep information about you confidential. I store personal data provided by you in password protected digital locations. I have supervision which remains confidential and they are not aware of your full name.
I ask for your Gp details and DOB. If I was concerned that you were a serious risk to yourself or someone else, I would speak to your Gp or emergency services, but I would always endeavour to discuss this with you.
I also ask for a next of kin contact or your address just in case you were to become unwell during an online session.
We can discuss how you feel about me having these details, as you are not obliged to give me this information and can request access to or removal of it at any time.
You can contact the BACP if you have any concerns about my work or would like to make a complaint.
Privacy Policy for Supervision groups combining EMDR and Internal Family Systems using Annabel McGoldrick's training.
I collect personal information including full name, phone number, email address in order to keep in contact with you to provide supervision.
I will ask about your date of birth, age, living situation, emergency contact and therapeutic training and background in order to provide suitable supervision and manage risk. I will ask about your current and previous experience of supervision and will seek to provide a relationally safe place and appropriate learning environment.
You can request that I do not keep this information and we can discuss this at any point if you would like to.
Confidentiality.
All personal and sensitive data is treated with strict confidentiality.
Your name & contact details will be shared with my Therapeutic Executor so that in the unlikely event of my sudden death you can be contacted should you still be in supervision with me.
In order to improve my supervision work, I refer to the content of our sessions in supervision or training settings, which are also bound by confidentiality. In these settings you will remain anonymous and unidentifiable.
I may break confidentiality by contacting external services if I believe there to be any threat of harm to you or another. Wherever possible this would be discussed with you first.
